Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your access to and use of https://www.stxresearch.com (the "Site"), operated by STX Research (the "Company"). It is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. By accessing the Site or placing an order you agree to this AUP. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. Permitted Use - Research Use Only

All products are supplied strictly for laboratory and in-vitro research and development use only, by qualified researchers in an appropriately equipped and controlled setting. You may purchase and use the products only for lawful research that complies with all applicable federal, state, local, and institutional laws, rules, and policies.

2. Prohibited Uses

You may not, and may not authorize or enable any third party to:

  • Use, consume, administer, or apply any product in or on humans or animals, or for any diagnostic, therapeutic, clinical, cosmetic, food, supplement, or household purpose;
  • Resell, distribute, transfer, or supply any product for human or animal use, or to any person you know or reasonably should know intends such use;
  • Represent, label, market, or describe any product as a drug, dietary supplement, food, cosmetic, or medical device, or make any claim that a product diagnoses, treats, cures, prevents, or mitigates any disease or affects the structure or function of the body;
  • Request or rely on the Company for dosing, reconstitution, administration, or other human- or animal-use instructions (the Company does not provide them);
  • Circumvent, disable, or falsely complete the Site's age and qualified-researcher eligibility controls, region or export restrictions, or order-quantity limits;
  • Use the Site for any unlawful, fraudulent, or infringing purpose, or to introduce malware, scrape at scale, or disrupt the Site's operation.

3. Product Listings and Regulatory Status

A product name, catalog code, or research-use-only designation does not change a compound's identity or regulatory status, or establish that its sale or use is lawful. Nothing in a product listing or this AUP authorizes a transaction or use prohibited by applicable law. Products may be acquired and used only for lawful laboratory and in-vitro research, subject to the eligibility and use restrictions in this AUP and the Terms of Service. The Company may refuse or cancel orders inconsistent with these requirements.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 21 years of age and a qualified researcher (or duly authorized to purchase on behalf of a qualified research institution). The Company may require verification and may refuse, limit, or cancel any order or account at its sole discretion.

5. Resellers and Distributors

Any resale or distribution of products acquired from the Site is permitted only to qualified researchers or research institutions for research use only, and only if you pass through to your customers terms no less protective than this AUP and the Terms of Service. You are responsible for your customers' compliance.

6. Enforcement

Violation of this AUP is a material breach of the Terms of Service. The Company may, with or without notice, refuse or cancel orders, suspend or terminate accounts, withhold or reverse shipment, retain records as permitted by law, and report conduct to relevant authorities. The Company's eligibility and consent records may be retained as described in the Disclaimer & Eligibility and Privacy Policy.

7. Changes

The Company may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes take effect on posting with an updated effective date and version; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
